With each individually designed door coming with a 10-year guarantee against bowing, with CE marking and all necessary certificates.
The Longden Thermal range with enhanced heat-reducing qualities provide you with a range of options from 68mm thick, through 78mm and 88mm up to the top level 98mm that incorporates all the properties required in line with Passivhaus recommendations. You can read more about Passivhaus below.

The door core creates the very best conditions for a comfortable internal climate thanks to its high level of thermal insulation and its sophisticated design. The 2 part flat steel stabilizer running lock-side gives the door its excellent stability. And it is insulated to prevent thermal bridges, eradicating condensation problems.

SAVING LIVES WITH FIRE RESISTANCE.
The Longden Thermal FireSafe family: In addition to its fire resistance, the Longden Thermal FireSafe KlimaSoft core achieves excellent thermal insulation. The Longden Thermal FireSafe Passiv fire rated core even achieves the required thermal insulation values for low-energy and Passive houses with Passivhaus certification. Lastly, as well as fire resistance, the Longden Thermal FireSafe Akustik core also achieves a high level of sound insulation.
Longden Thermal Comfort
FOR STANDARD REQUIREMENTS IN DOOR CONSTRUCTION.
An aluminum moisture barrier integrated in the two face layers of this door core, in combination with an engineered timber inner-core, ensures excellent overall stability of the door leaf. ALU Comfort can be used universally, can be processed easily and cost-effectively thanks to its high-quality components and low weight. ALU Comfort provides a high level of stability and achieves very high values in all performance classes according to EN 14351-1.

Passivhaus is a voluntary energy-saving standard for buildings that helps to shrink their environmental impact, focusing on creating comfortable living spaces with minimal energy use for heating and cooling.

Legislation and Specifications
While Passivhaus is a voluntary standard, there are building regulations that focus on energy efficiency in construction.
Scotland is planning a policy for ultra energy-efficient new homes. This policy is expected to go into consultation in summer 2024 and be implemented by December 2024.

The April 2024 technical handbooks are now published, introducing the Scottish Government’s New Build Heat Standard via standard 6.11 (Heating and hot water – direct emission heating system) and consequential changes to standard 6.1 and 7.1.
